Week 6 was about change. Week 7 was about adjustment. Adjusting to our new normal.
I think it went fairly well. Hubby is getting into the groove of teaching. The boys are getting into the groove of using our new "turn in" basket for their completed work. They are consistently using the hanging pocket folder for their work and learning to check off their assignment sheets.
Together they finished up their study on space and watched Created Cosmos.
Outside activities consisted of our Human Body Science Co-op. They learned about muscles. The mom that taught used pink-coated electrical wire for an example of a muscle, and they learned the 3 different types of muscles as well as the fact that muscles always pull and and never push. Their activity was to make cardboard and rubberband muscles. It was a huge hit.
We were scheduled to go to Outdoor Survival on Friday. Hubby had a doctor's appointment in another town. I had worked until 11 PM the night before, slept terribly, and had to be back to work an hour away at 3 PM. I was plain exhausted. Rather than driving the 20 minutes to their class, we opted to stay home and focused on regular school. We were sad to miss but thankful for the flexibility to not go.
