Snow Flurries

The very, very, tiny kind.
The kind you have to squint your eyes to see.
We saw them this morning.

Snow of any kind,
no matter how teeny tiny, is a BIG deal in these parts.

Normally, I pull up to the high school to drop off Kyle and it is a barren land.

This morning there were huddles of teenagers.
Cell phones on camera mode.
Hands extended toward the sky.
Heads looking up.
Some mouths wide open.
A taste of Winter.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting earlier! We live just south of Salem. You're from Oregon originally? I love it here!

I loved your description of the reactions to the snow. I'm so glad we don't live in an area that gets lots of snow... it is such a treat when it actually does. :)
